Job Description

You will be playing a vital role in providing comprehensive patient care. Hence you are responsible for delivering direct patient care, including assisting with daily activities, monitoring patients’ health conditions, administering medications, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. You will be required to collaborate with other healthcare team members, such as nurses and physicians, to monitor and report changes in patient’s conditions, provide mobility support, assist with rehabilitation exercises, and offer emotional and psychological support to patients and their families. Through your expertise, compassion, and dedication, you will be required to contribute to the overall well-being and quality of care for individuals in need of medical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: providing direct patient care, which includes assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting also monitoring patients’ vital signs, administering medications, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Monitoring and Reporting: closely monitoring patients’ conditions and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members, such as doctors or physicians. They may track and document vital signs, intake and output measurements, and observations about the patient’s physical and mental well-being.
• Assisting with Mobility and Rehabilitation: help patients with mobility and rehabilitation exercises and also assist with transferring patients from beds to chairs, walking assistance, and supporting patients in performing prescribed exercises or rehabilitation routines. Prioritizing patient safety and using proper techniques to prevent injuries.
• Emotional and Psychological Support:  providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their families also offering a compassionate and empathetic presence, actively listening to patients’ concerns, and providing reassurance and encouragement. May also assist in addressing patients’ emotional needs by offering companionship, engaging in conversation, and promoting a positive and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate in your field of interest.
• First Aid / CPR certification.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS).
• TB Test .
• Previous experience working with the elderly and children will be greatly considered.
